Zonta St. Charles co-sponsored the first annual “Walk Against Violence” held April 21, 2007 at
Frontier Park in historic St. Charles, MO. The walk raised awareness and funds for domestic
violence programs and a sexual assault center based at Bridgeway, a nonprofit organization
serving eastern Missouri. Far right, emcee Gina Keeven with former District 7 Governor

Zonta Awards Student Ambassador
People to People Scholarship
St. Charles High School
student Katie Storkson was given
a Zonta scholarship to participate
in the Student Ambassador
program called People to People
and travel to Australia. She enjoys
photography and plans to show
her work in Fall of 2007 at a local
Zonta event.
Walk Against Violence
2008 YWPA Scholarship 4.0 GPA at Saint Charles High School and has been accepted by Purdue University to study aeronautical engineering. .

2007 Zonta Yellow Rose Day
Yellow Roses were presented on March 8,
2007 for the Zonta Yellow Rose Day and
International Women’s Day, to more than 45
women in the county. Here, ESPW Executive

She is Vice-President of Students Against
Destructive Decisions, Class Secretary of the
Student Council, Treasurer of National Honor
Society, Vice-President of Pirate Players,
member of International Thespian Society, Lead
Critic of Cappies, Captain of Step and member
of the Earth Club. Outside of school, she is
active at Saint Peters Parish with Fellowship of
Christian Athletes, as Youth Group Core Team
Leader, and Cantor. Sarah has also already
earned her FAA Private Pilot’s License.
